Supported JPEG photos are recompressed. Text, vectors, and page size stay. If the file would not get smaller, your original is kept.
Limits
- One PDF, up to 32 MiB and 1,000 pages, unless a tool says otherwise.
- Desktop limits are provisional. Physical mobile and Safari verification remains open.
- Plain DeviceRGB and DeviceGray JPEG images are recompressed. A long edge above 1600 pixels is reduced to 1600. Text, vectors, and page boxes stay.
- Masked, CMYK, PNG, and other non-JPEG images are left unchanged. Up to 60 large JPEGs are considered.
- If the result is not smaller, no download is offered and the original file is unchanged.
